I'm Paul Allen and I've been playing tunes for parties since my days before long trousers. Back in the old days when none other than Pete Tong did my school's youth club disco's I was inspired to proclaim "That will be me one day!" Of course the rest is history, not least for Pete Tong.. All the talking came to an end when my parents bought a kit of gear for Christmas and set up the 1st gig in January 1980.

Aged just 18, little did I know just how long this was going to last. For the nostalgia driven I was at that time known as the "Supa-Disc" Mobile Disco.

 Turning Professional in 1985 you name it I've done it, from clubs and pubs to open air events. I've worked for Royalty, Politicians, lager louts and sensible people too.

Dave Cook has been a guiding force in the business almost since day one . Once Dave ate the Guinness book of hit singles for breakfast and can now tell me who sang what where and when along with the chart position, the colour of the label, even how many old pence it cost him on vinyl. 

Dave has a distinctive style and I'm not talking about his haircut!! His voice was made for the microphone and he has a stage presence yet to be equaled. Dave is not known for his beat mixing but it's true to say he has an instinctive ear for knowing what goes with what. 

A working DJ from the age of 16 the trade is second nature to Dave and he never fails to fill a dance floor.

Back on the firm following another very brief retirement Dave's 2008 dates are filling very fast indeed. Paul Allen.

Liam is the youngest blood on our team at 24 which is well reflected in his enthusiasm. Unclouded by convention Liam has been trained exclusively on our computer system while working as a "Roadie".

His training was brought to a swift conclusion when he was thrown in at the deep end to cover the Christmas season 2005 at a local hotel following the untimely passing of one of our other top DJ's. Had the Hotel not since become the site of the new A2 he would have returned for the 2006 season in his own right.

Despite his young age Liam has the knowledge and the capability to undertake any conceivable type of function for all age groups.

It took a few years to get Gary on the firm, forever busy we almost gave up. Then, one day we caught him on a rare night off and he undertook a last minute booking. After the event  the phone started ringing with customers wanting him for their function.  Even years later people still ask for him by name. 

Nobody can explain just why he's so great but it would seem that he has a knack of playing exactly the right thing at precisely the right time. All this along with the fact that he's one of the nicest blokes on the planet with a fantastic sound & light show means he will no doubt be one of our most requested DJ's for many years to come.  Alan James

Alan James aka Big Al & Al Owboy has been with us since he was little Al, only kidding. Al has never been little! The gentle giant of pop is a former radio DJ remembered for his "Radio Stars Roadshow" Once the King of the Holiday Camp circuit, following a short spell in retirement he's back on the decks.

Choosing only to work where his style is appropriate it's fair to say Alan is best suited to the celebration type of party! Alan is possibly the supreme party jock and after your beer or two you'd be amazed at just what you'll be dancin'  to. 

Russell Christie  R.I.P.                                                  A Doubledex Exclusive DJ *

Russell had been a DJ since the age of 18, at 39 he spent most of the years in-between working the clubs abroad. Recently coming home from a contract in Dubai he decided to apply his skills on the more varied mobile function market. And to great acclaim!

A highly accomplished beat mixer with an astonishing ability to mix tunes seamlessly regardless of genre, he used rare continental remixes of UK & US songs. For years he was known for his hard house style but was equally at home spinning the party classics. Either booked alone or as a second DJ with the deluxe package Russell added a memorable dimension to any event. 

Sadly Russell died suddenly & instantly on November 25th 2005. Russell will not only be missed by the industry the world over but enormously by myself as anyone who knew us both knew also,  we were more like brothers, which is why he remains in place here for the time being.  All bookings have been covered and A full obituary will appear on this website in due course. Darren Simons

Joining our team of professionals in 2005 Darren has had a career change after many years as resident Disc-Jockey aboard many cruise liners including P&O's Oriana and Cunard's QE2.

Darren is available for any type of function and has already proved an asset especially in the corporate field. needless to say, we are currently very busy filling his diary for him.

 Robbie Edwards

A very experienced DJ, Former "Redcoat" Robbie, seen here in "Poshed-Up mode" has spent the last 26 years in the entertainment industry, the past 23 of which as a professional DJ. 

Having Performed at hundreds of weddings & corporate events in and around London & the South East, from small private clubs to huge marquees he has worked at the highest level, not only as a DJ but also as a Musician.

He's toured all over Europe appearing with top Musical acts and Stars from stage and screen culminating with a live performance on Central TV's Friday night live show!

 Richie Dee

Richie's career as a DJ started whilst a teenager 13 years back, Soon afterwards, Richie Joined our team to help out with the Christmas rush for one of our associate agencies.

Richie has performed in a wide variety of venues, from clubs, pubs and hotels over the years also once appearing in some caves.

A common sight behind the decks of many of Kent's most prestigious night-spots, Richie can confidently cope with any type of event or promotion. Paul Allen

 David Chapman  (*pcdj enabled) 

Dave, aka David St. John has been involved with Paul Allen Discotheques from the concept days being the guy who sold my parents my first set of equipment in 1979 from his then Disco Shop "Mobi-Deque" in Charlton Village, South East London.

 Commonly known as the DJ's DJ, David's artistry on the decks has for decades been inspiring and can still only be achieved by lesser entertainers electronically.

Available for every type of function Dave has worked in association with UK tours for Michael Jackson, Simply Red, Bobby Brown and many more, along with a host of prestigious events for clients British Airways, Planet Hollywood and Capital Radio. Add to this a list of high profile after movie premier parties and even Nigella Lawson's Wedding and you'd be hard pressed to find a better portfolio anywhere.

Dave mainly operates a "Deluxe Package" and can also provide a variety of ambient lighting effects that can transform any venue into a stunning presentation in itself before the party starts. Booking now for 2008! Paul Allen.
